<h1><span style="color: #7715a1">               BASKETBALL     &amp;     HEALTH</span></h1>
<p><span style="color: #339966"><span style="color: #ff6600">       Beginning November 29th, we will start our basketball and health units.</span> Mrs. Mittelman&#8217;s 5th grade classes and ALL 6th grade BOYS will begin with health for 3 weeks, followed by 3 weeks of basketball. <span style="color: #3482cb">Mrs. Spector&#8217;s 5th grade classes and ALL 6th grade GIRLS will begin with our basketball unit for 3 weeks, followed by 3 weeks of health.</span> <span style="color: #f23f0c">All health students will meet in room 108 and will need a 2-pocket folder &amp; pencil. </span></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #d35317">      Each Fall &amp; Spring we participate in a series of fitness tests during P.E. class. They include a variety of helth-related physical fitness tests that are used to determine students&#8217; overall physical fitness and suggest areas for improvement when appropriate. A copy of your child&#8217;s personalized results will be sent home with the first report card. These tests include the Sit &amp; Reach, Flexed Arm Hang, Curl-Ups, The PACER &amp; the Trunk Lift. </span></p>
