A little bit about myself. I received my Physical Education degrees (Elementary and Secondary) from the University of Illinois (GO ILLINI!) and my Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University. I am married with two grown children and have a Portugese Water dog named Harley. My favorite sport is ice hockey and I played and coached ice hockey for many years. In 2005 I was very proud to be inducted into the Inaugural Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame! Here is a picture of me receiving my award from Mr. Norm Spiegel.
One of my favorite pictures. Coach Q, Stanley and me!
Every summer I volunteer with the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association, also known as AHIHA. Last spring I coached a team from AHIHA in the USA Disabled Festival in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is a picture of my all girl’s team from this past summer. We hope to compete in the USA 2012 Disabled Festival this April in Dallas, Texas!
In addition to teaching at MMS, I also coach Cross Country and 7th Grade Girl’s & Boy’s Volleyball at Aptakisic Junior High. Many of our MMS 6th graders participate in Fall Cross Country.
