The Dream Quilt below is a compilation of first through fourth quarter student art work. This year's seventh graders were part of a pilot art project where parents shared dreams and aspirations for their children's future. Students designed a quilt square about themselves and their parents wrote a message around the design. The quilt is truly a celebration of our diversity in District 102, some parents even wrote the message in their native language. The quilt project came to fruition through the collaboration of AJHS Art Teacher Christina Lovering and ELL Coordinator Amy Gannon. A special thank you to Ms. Lovering for all the planning and follow through in producing such a beautiful piece of quilted artwork.
