📚✨ Tripp's Third Graders Are Published Authors! ✨📚
For the past 2.5 months, our third-grade students at Tripp have been hard at work planning, drafting, and publishing their very own expert topic books! 📝📖
These books showcase:
🔹 Expert vocabulary
🔹 Engaging text features
🔹 Multiple text structures
🔹 Tons of creativity!
Our English Learners created their first book in English, and our students with special needs used assistive technology to bring their knowledge to life. Some students wrote four chapters, while others went above and beyond with nine or more! 🎉
They supported each other by giving peer feedback, and the final results were nothing short of amazing! We are so proud of their hard work and dedication. 💙

Reminder! There is no school on Monday, March 3.

Today Tripp school welcomed author/illustrator Mike Boldt! He shared his latest book, Cantaloupe and Honeydo Bake a Cake,. He also did several drawings and answered many great questions.
Mike Boldt is the New York Times bestselling artist of acclaimed picture books; Just Try One Bite, How to Grow a Dinosaur, and the popular CHIP THE DOG and FROG series by Dev Petty.
Thank you, Mrs. Goldstein for organizing this amazing event! Tripp Tigers were thrilled and so excited to meet Mike Boldt!

📚🐍 What a fantastic turnout for the Tripp Family Book Club, where 80 people attended.
Students listened to Hidden Animal Colors by Jane Park and explored the fascinating world of animal camouflage and mimicry. 🌿🦋
Thank you to the Lake County Forest Preserve for an engaging presentation filled with amazing pictures, real animal specimens, and even a special guest… a live fox snake! 🦊🐍 (Don’t worry, it was friendly!) And of course, a special shoutout to Mrs. Goldstein for hosting another successful evening for families.
Thanks to everyone who came out for a night of learning and fun!

❤️✂️💌Love, kindness, and friendship filled the halls today as our Tripp and Pritchett students celebrated Valentine’s Day!

Thank you, Officer Diaz! 💙🚔

It's time for another round of staff trivia! Which of these staff members has a piece of the Berlin Wall that they got from the wall in West Berlin back in 1991?
Is it Ms. Stephen’s, Ms. Nudelman, Ms. Srisairam, or Ms. Kumari?

Good afternoon! As a reminder tomorrow is Early Dismissal. Students will be dismissed at 2:00pm. If you have a change in transportation please send a note to school with your child or call the office at 847-955-3600. Thanks!
