A team of middle school students from Buffalo Grove, including 2 students from AJHS (Ethan S. and Prajin S.), were among the top five teams in the "You Be the Chemist Challenge" and earned a trip to Houston. There, they competed in person and ultimately finished third overall!
These young Chemistry students are members of the Science Scholars Sandbox, started and coached by Sachleen Tuteja of Palatine who will be a sophomore at Northwestern University this fall. Her passion for Chemistry ignited the fire in these young minds and they took it to the national level where they demonstrated their dedication and poise well beyond their years!
